Loan House of the Year

Scotiabank earned the title of ‘Loan House of the Year,’ as a result of its consistent excellence and expertise delivered to clients across Latin America and the Caribbean. Through the Bank’s solid relationships, extensive market knowledge, and commitment to the region, Scotiabank marked its fourth straight year at the top of the industry rankings, attaining first place in Bloomberg’s Latin American Syndicated Loan Bookrunner League Tables for the period April 1, 2022 to July 31, 20232. The Bank led 83 loan transactions and accredited volume of US$15.2 billion, the highest volume recorded by an institution in the history of the Bloomberg Loan League Tables for Latam2.



Leveraged Finance House of the Year

Scotiabank garnered attention as ‘Leveraged Finance House of the Year,’ for being a key player in this space across the Americas. Having applied its extensive product expertise and local market knowledge, the Bank led new and innovative high-leveraged transactions in countries that had limited tolerance or history for these financing structures, allowing it to lead many transactions in the media, telecom, power and cable sectors across the region. In particular, Scotiabank ranked number one in Bloomberg’s Latin America Telecom Bookrunner League Tables for the period April 1, 2022 to August 7, 20233.
